More about the In2Care Mosquito Station
Mosquito-borne diseases like Dengue, Chikungunya, Yellow Fever, and Zika virus continue to pose significant health threats worldwide, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. Traditional methods of controlling these diseases often involve the use of chemical insecticides, which can lead to environmental damage and the development of insecticide-resistant mosquito populations. However, a novel tool has emerged, offering a more sustainable and effective approach to combating these diseases. The In2Care Mosquito Station effectively attracts and kills Aedes mosquitoes with novel and green ingredients that target both larvae and adults. Station activity is not limited to the Station itself, but extends to the surrounding area.
Proven Efficacy
- Station efficacy has been scientifically validated in the lab and published in a peer-reviewed academic journal
- Field validations were carried out by the IVCD of the Trinidad Ministry of Health
- A large-scale trial was conducted by the MRCU on the Cayman Islands
- Field efficacy validations for EPA-registration were conducted by the Manatee County Mosquito Abatement District in Florida and have been published in a scientific journal

How does it work?
The In2Care® Mosquito Station Explained
The In2Care® Mosquito Station is an innovative tool designed to control mosquito populations effectively. Made from durable recycled polypropylene (PP) materials, the station comprises a lid, central tube, click-on interface, and a reservoir. A floater inside the central tube adjusts with the water level, providing a resting and landing site for mosquitoes. Female mosquitoes are attracted to the station by adding a tablet to the water that emits enticing odors.
How It Works
When a female mosquito enters the station, she lands on the floater, which is covered with a gauze strip infused with a mixture of biological agents. These agents have been specifically chosen for their pest control properties and are approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Active Ingredients Targeting Mosquitoes
The In2Care® Mosquito Station serves as an attractive breeding site for egg-laying Aedes mosquitoes. Once inside, the mosquito lands near the water on the gauze-covered floater, which is treated with two active agents:
- Growth Regulator: This agent targets mosquito larvae, killing them within the station and in nearby breeding sites, preventing further population growth.
- Biological Fungus: This agent infects and debilitates the mosquito, inhibiting virus development and ultimately killing the mosquito before it can spread diseases.
The unique combination of these active ingredients ensures that the In2Care® Mosquito Station effectively reduces mosquito populations and interrupts the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases.
